Mr. Dermot Lanigan MCh FRCSI (UROL). , Consultant Urological Surgeon, Bon Secours Hospital Cork and Senior Clinical Lecturer, Department of Surgery, University College Cork.
Dermot Lanigan qualified at University College Galway in 1984. After completing basic and intermediate surgical training he completed his thesis on the molecular biology of kidney cancer at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. Mr Lanigan completed Higher Surgical Training in Urology in Glasgow. He was then appointed to the position of Consultant Urological Surgeon at the West Glasgow Hospitals University NHS Trust and Senior Lecturer in the Department of Surgery at Glasgow University.
He then returned to Cork to take up his current position at the Bon Secours Hospital. Mr. Lanigan is also Senior Clinical Lecturer in the School of Medicine and Health Sciences of University College Cork. He practices in general adult and paediatric urology. Dermot Lanigan is a member of the Irish Society of Urology, British Association of Urological Surgeons and the European Association of Urology.
